I continually push the boundaries of my vision of a single image of a flower. Whether creating representational views or more magnified and abstracted forms, my work is identified by the powerful movement. Throughout all my paintings is the use of richly layered transparencies, often upwards of 20 coats at different viscosities, to create intensely rich shadows in contrast to highlights that dance off the surface. The viewer is immediately seduced into the myriad of complexities.
