This is a unique one of a kind mirror inspired by world maps. The mirror has been reverse hand etched and painted, similar to the traditional technique of verre églomisé. (The back of the mirror has been decorated with gold and silver paint). The design also features decorative tape on the front which adds texture and depth to the piece, giving it a contemporary edge. Its a statement piece, collaging different elements - an exquisite decorative art piece as well as a mirror.
Briggs & Cole is a Glasgow-based design studio. Creative duo Jane Briggs and Christy Cole cofounded the studio in 2012 in the city’s east end. Briggs & Cole specialises in limited-edition and unique art and design for residential and commercial interiors, including furniture, lighting, objets d’art, large-scale artworks, fabric, and wallpaper prints.
