This bench is designed for two people and made of a French oak barrel, which was used to store Piedmontese Barolo. It has two comfortable seats. This piece of furniture may be the pride of both a garden and a tasteful interior, for example a wine cellar.

Its form resembles a shelf, although only superficially. However, it may serve as a rack for a few bottles of wine. The project is characterised by a constructive dynamics, perfectly combining the vintage style with modernism. You can also observe Japanese reminiscences. This piece of furniture discreetly conceals its real nature – a bench for two, thus providing it with an enigmatic aura. In short, it gives the project the soul. It bears some characteristics of a constructivist sculpture whose simplest elements, in this case barrel elements, affect every viewer through tensions arising from relations between them.

We are a company designing and manufacturing furniture of barrels and old wood. In particular, we appreciate our offer of furniture made of used wine barrels. This is the third life for wood. Our barrels are made of the noblest species of oak – the king of all trees. Oak refines the wine, gives it smoothness and class. We want to keep the oak’s role alive in our projects. Old Wood comes from old barns, wooden houses, Catholic and Orthodox churches located in Galicia, i.e. the region of south-eastern Poland and western Ukraine. Noble wood tells the history of people who inhabited this land – beautiful and severe, mysterious and inspiring. No tree was cut to make the object because the material comes completely from the recovery. The manufacture of an object is limited to the minimum use of electricity, substantially, it has been made by hand.
