This painting, in gouache on paper, is a meditation on the bright white reflections on water on a sunny day. Created through hand-painted striations of lines descending down the piece, the reflected white on water is actually the white of the paper. The yellow accent geometric line work is inspired by the Nazca lines in Peru and the mysteries of sacred geometry.
Katie has shown her across Canada and the United States. Her work has been offered at major retailers such as Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma Home and appeared in interior design work in House Beautiful, Better Home and Gardens, and House & Home multiple times. She has completed artist residencies at the Banff Centre, the Caetani Cultural Centre and UBC Okanagan.
