Cheer up your room with this sunny velvet cushion. On a backdrop of plain white or pale yellow/green, the chirpy oranges and greens are woven together in a geometric basket-weave pattern. The other side of the cushion features a different geometric pattern consisting of orange and green circles and squares.
The spectrum of birds’ plumage informs the colour palettes of my work. Undulating oceans of pattern, colour, fashion and architecture in the city of my birth, Bombay, nurtured my interest in design. My mission is to infuse colour and pattern back into interiors and wardrobes. With geometric designs that range from tribal to modern via Islam, my patterns have been variously described as ordered, edgy, decadent… Printed digitally by some of the most established printers in the UK, my patterns are translated onto the softest cotton velvet. The pile of the velvet imbues the prints with a muted edge that tempers the vibrant colour combinations.
