This gorgeous four-leaf articulated wooden screen is inspired by the window grilles found in the suburban houses of several Brazilian cities. These metal gradients were widespread during the 1960s and 1970s. The name São Cristóvão comes from the homonymous Rio neighbourhood that is the location of Lattoog's atelier. Its architecture has a lot of influence in Lattoog's daily life and creations. The neighbourhood of São Cristóvão has a very rich history: In the early nineteenth century, D. João VI and the royal family were living there. Currently, the Royal Palace is the headquarters of the National Museum.
