Alfier is a contemporary Venetian glass table light, designed and made by Maurizio Alfier in Marcon, near Venice. Blue glass rods are fused over a platinum ground and then slumped to create curved panels. These are offset to reveal the patterns created in the platinum by the heat. The structure is chromed and the cable (which enters at the bottom) is clear. The shade is duppion silk, lined with satin. The standard shade colour with the blue is Ink (as shown). 150 other colours are available. CE
